  • Flea Comb (Excellent for using behind ears to check for micro mats)

  • Muzzle (A muzzle is good to have on hand in case your dog is injured)
  • Raincoat (To cut down on grooming after rainy walks) 
  • Dog Booties (To protect pads from hot pavement, rock salt, etc) 
  • Backpack (Do not put a backpack on a puppy until s/he is at least two years of age as the extra weight is not good for their musculoskeletal development)

  • Toothpaste (With positive reinforcement, most dogs enjoy having their teeth brushed. It is the most effective way to prevent periodontal disease, plaque buildup, and bad breath. About 80% of America’s dogs show signs of periodontal disease by 3 years of age.
